Transformers brand boosted by 3 more films

Movies planned for 2017, 2018 and 2019, including a ‘never before heard’ Bumblebee story.

Transformers licensees are set for a boost over the new few years, with Hasbro and Paramount confirming that three more movies are on the way.

Transformers 5, 6 and 7 have been dated for June 2017, June 2018 and June 2019 respectively.

Notably, Hasbro chairman Brian Goldner confirmed that Transformers 6 will tell the ‘never before heard’ story of Bumblebee, the Autobot disguised as a yellow 1970s Camaro.

Michael Bay will return to direct Transformers 5, along with actor Mark Wahlberg, who starred in Transformers: Age of Extinction.

The existing four movies in the Transformers franchise has grossed a combined $3.7 billion worldwide, according to Variety.
