New range will aim to promote interest in nature and wildlife.
Walker Books has secured a new deal with wildlife charity the RSPB for a range of new children’s titles.
The aim of the new range is to promote interest in nature and wildlife, reports The Bookseller.
The five-year deal with world rights runs until 2022.
Walker’s range will include picture books, novelty, activity and non fiction, all looking to introduce children and encourage them to champion local wildlife.
Denise Johnstone-Burt, editorial director at Walker Books who acquired the licence from the RSPB, commented: “It is time for people to re-establish their relationship with nature so I was absolutely thrilled to win the licence to partner with the RSPB.
“Our innovative style of publishing combined with their core values will lead to beautiful books filled with information that will be treasured by children for years to come.”
