Boost for Care Bears as Paul Dennicci expands range

Babywear line now available in F&F at Tesco, Babies R Us and Boots, as well as Mothercare.

The Care Bears brand has been given a boost at retail, with Paul Dennicci expanding its successful babywear line into a raft of new stores.

The licensee – which launched the range in Mothercare in 2016 – has now expanded the line into F&F at Tesco, Babies R Us and Boots.

The news comes as CPLG – the agent for the American Greetings Entertainment brand – confirms a brace of new Care Bears licensees.

Bio-Synergy has created Care Bears bottle water, which is launching in Primark in early April.

In addition, Hachette joins the programme as publishing partner, developing two new titles which launched in February. Further titles are due to roll out later this year.

There are 25 existing licensees for the brand – which celebrates its 35th anniversary this year – including the recently announced Gemma International on greeting cards and partyware.

Roubina Minassian, director of international licensing for American Greetings Entertainment, commented: “The affection for the iconic Care Bears brand is very much alive from both new and long-time fans.

“Having these exceptional partners on board highlights the multi-generational appeal of Care Bears as we have products for all ages from infants to adults.”
