Visitor numbers at the UK’s museums and galleries are continuing their upward trajectory towards pre-pandemic levels, according to the latest data from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) and the Association of Leading Visitor Attractions (ALVA). For the first of four Featuring… newsletters focused on the Museums & Heritage sector, LicensingSource.net crunches the numbers. 

ALVA’s 2,200 members include some of the UK’s most iconic and important museums, galleries, palaces, castles and more. Its latest figures, released on 18 March, show an increase of 19% in visitor numbers to its most popular attractions during 2023…
