INK Global welcomes master toy for Zafari brand

Hijinx to launch plush, figurines, collectables, creative and role-play lines.

INK Global has revealed the master toy partner for its hotly tipped Zafari property.

Spanning plush, figurines, collectibles, creative and role-play categories, Hijinx will act as exclusive global manufacturer (excluding China, MENA and Japan) and will distribute the line across the US, Australia, New Zealand and the UK.

Zafari tells the story of a group of friends who live in a land where the animals have been born with an amalgamation of varying skins, patterns and characteristics.

Broadcasters are already lining up on a pre-buy level including France TV, Lagardere TIJI, SRC Radio Canada and SpaceToon. NBC Universal has picked up the global distribution rights and the first series will premiere on TV in November (France and MENA).

“We are extremely thrilled to be working with this brilliant and beautifully animated property,” said Norma Rosenhain, ceo of Hijinx. “We look forward to the opportunity to bring all the fantastic, unique Zafari characters to life in the marketplace.”

INK Global director, Claus Tømming, added: “There will be huge demand for toys when [Zafari] hits the screen and we’re confident Hijinx will do a fantastic job in bringing the essence of the story to life with an innovative and unique range of toys that children will adore.”
