New Frida Kahlo book to celebrate her iconic style

Art Ask Agency has confirmed that Hardie Grant UK will be publishing a new book in June celebrating the style of Frida Kahlo.

The new title – called Frida Kahlo Style Icon – will be the second to be published by the company and will launch on 23 June.

Hardie Grant’s first title, Pocket Frida Kahlo Wisdom, launched in 2018 and continues to be a strong performer in a number of territories.

“From embroidered blouses and traditional Tehuana dresses to indigenous treasures and jewellery strung by Frida herself, this book showcases how Frida used her style as a means of personal and political expression,” said a spokesperson from the Hardie Grant marketing team. “Tastefully and elegantly illustrated throughout, this volume is a must-have for admirers of Frida Kahlo, fashion historians and fans of fashion illustration.”

Maria Strid, owner of Art Ask Agency, continued: “This new book from Hardie Grant, just like the first one, are great gift items for Frida fans. They bring Frida closer to people and show another side of the most famous Mexican female painter.”
