Star Editions launches new sustainable gift company

Star Earth has been created to ensure sustainability becomes ‘the norm’ in the wholesale gift trade.

Star Editions has launched a new sustainable gift company – Star Earth.

The new company is looking to ensure that sustainability becomes the norm within the wholesale gift trade, sooner rather than later, according to ceo Will Marston.

The launch of Star Earth had initially been set to coincide with the end of WWF’s Earth Hour at 9.30pm on March 28, before the COVID-19 pandemic forced Will to change his plans.

“I was frustrated of course; not only was I excited to announce our new venture, I was proud and anxious to see who out of our existing customers would join us on the path to sustainable gifting,” Will commented. “Who would switch from 100% cotton, to 100% organic cotton, and from FSC to recycled paper and card?

“I went from belief to despair. Who was going to pay more for a better quality and more sustainable product now, as we prepare for a global recession?”

However, the global lockdowns had a profound effect on the natural world, making it clearer than ever how quickly the Earth can heal itself with a reduction in travel, industry and traffic.

Will says that he is even more optimistic now about the launch of the new company.

“We created Star Earth to ensure that sustainability becomes the norm in wholesale gift trade,” he added. “It is for all of the reasons mentioned, that simply reinforce my beliefs that now is the perfect time to bring Star Earth to the top of everyone’s agenda.

“It is no longer a choice or a luxury, but a necessity for our gift trade to go sustainable, recycled and organic.”

Star Earth has also promised to plan 25 trees in your name with every order. This will be doubled to 50 trees with each order if the promo code MAXMEDIA is used on checkout.
