“We anticipate the 1990’s vibe continuing”

TruffleShuffle’s Iain Matheson talks Sonic and James Bond, plus Disney dominance for adults and kids.

The current trend for all things 1990s is set to continue, according to key buyers from online retailer TruffleShuffle.

Iain Matheson, digital marketing at the retailer, told Licensing Source Book at the product category judging of The Licensing Awards, that he anticipates the 1990s vibe continuing with gaming properties such as Sonic, SEGA and Zelda, as well as retro James Bond.

Iain – pictured (far left) with his TruffleShuffle colleagues (left to right) Lucy Cornish, James Leigh and Lizzie Williams – continued: “Disney is huge in the second half of 2019, with Toy Story’s appeal spanning both children and adults.

“Plus with Ariel: Little Mermaid being remade as a live action film this is likely to energise interest in this brand, too.”
