Forbidden Planet and Rocky Horror Show reveal new partnership

Licensed merchandise from musical The Rocky Horror Show will be strutting into science fiction, fantasy and cult entertainment retailer Forbidden Planet from Q2 2024.

Fans of the show will be able to browse through a range of apparel, collectables, prints and gifts from Forbidden Planet’s own design team, as well a selection of products from the growing list of licensees launching ranges to celebrate the cult brand’s 50th anniversary.

“Fishnets at the ready! We’re beyond excited to be working with the IP that inspired the biggest cult movie and longest running cinematic release of all time,” commented head of pop culture at Forbidden Planet, Anthony Garnon. “As the home of pop culture, we know it will fit perfectly into DTR portfolio.”

Adam Bass, director at Golden Goose, continued: “We saw enormous potential for Rocky Horror Show from the beginning, so it’s thrilling to enter conversations with retailers and global brands about how best to collaborate with this original, diverse, inclusive, multi-generational IP.”

Forbidden Planet will be merchandising its own range alongside product from the 30 Rocky Horror Show licensees currently in place. The collection will be available in the UK at Forbidden Planet stores and worldwide at Forbiddenplanet.com from Q2 2024.
