Number one animated movie will debut on streaming platform in the UK and Ireland on Friday July 3.
The debut of Frozen 2 on the Disney+ streaming platform in the UK and Ireland has been brought forward by two weeks, with the hit animated film launching on Friday July 3.
The highest grossing animated movie of all time – making just shy of US$1.5 billion at the worldwide box office – Frozen 2 follows Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven as they embark on a journey to discover the source of Elsa’s magical powers and save the kingdom of Arendelle.
In addition to the movie, new Disney+ Original documentary series, Into the Unknown: Making Frozen 2, will premiere globally on Friday June 26.
The six-part series sees the filmmakers, artists, songwriters and cast open their doors to cameras to reveal the hard work it took to create the film.
The new launches mean that Disney+ will become the streaming home of Frozen content. As well as Frozen, Frozen 2 and Into the Unknown: Making Frozen 2, the platform also hosts Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, Frozen Fever and LEGO Disney Frozen – Northern Lights.
