New EMEA-focused licensing agency, Boutique Licensing Agency, has hit the ground running with its first representation, Mr Men Little Miss. The agency – founded by Maria Maranesi and Marie-Noelle Lutte, both of whom have significant heritage in the licensing industry – will be looking to expand the classic brand, which is celebrating 50 years in 2021, into new areas beyond its key regional markets of the UK and France. BLA will be focusing on Iberia, GSA, Benelux, Nordic, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, the Baltics, Russia and the CIS for all product categories. The company will also manage Latin American markets for publishing rights only.

The RHS has revealed the launch by Ulster Weavers of a new licensed range of kitchen textiles. Called the Spring Floral collection, it offers a wide range of textiles and accessories including a cotton apron, printed tea towels, quilted oven gloves and mitts, a tea cosy and accompanying mug, plus a selection of reusable shoppers and PVC bags, as well as a packable roll-up bag.

Automobile Club de l’Ouest has renewed its longstanding exclusive worldwide licensing representation agreement with IMG for 24 Hours of Le Mans – the world’s oldest active sports car endurance race – through 2024. The Centenary of the race in 2023 is set to open up further development opportunities for key categories including apparel, toys and games, collectables, homeware and accessories.

BBC Studios has confirmed the appointment of France tv distribution as its French licensing agent for Bluey. France Télévisions has also secured the title for France 5, with Bluey beginning to air from 10 April.

ADK Emotions NY – the licensor of the Beyblade Burst franchise – has named Shunichi Ogawa as its new president and ceo.

Sony Pictures Entertainment and Amazon Falls have closed a deal to develop a 14-acre prime location in the seaside town of Bangsaray (which is 90 minutes from Bangkok) to open the world’s first Columbia Pictures theme and waterpark. Rides and attractions will begin opening from October 2021 and will feature brands such as Ghostbusters, Jumanji, Bad Boys, Men in Black and Hotel Transylvania.

Planeta Junior has secured an agreement with pocket.watch making it the exclusive consumer products licensing agent for Love, Diana in France, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, CEE and support in other major opportunities at a wider European level.

Novel Entertainment has secured a new global deal for its Horrid Henry brand with dedicated kids’ audio platform, Yoto. Under the partnership, five initial Horrid Henry audio titles will launch as cards for the Yoto Player in June.

Tony Roma’s licensee, Ruprecht Company is expanding its retail presence internationally through its latest deal with American Trading International. The deal will allow fans of the brand in Asia and other territories to enjoy the ‘secret sauces’ behind Tony Roma’s famous ribs and BBQ meats. The deal was brokered by Broad Street Licensing Group.
