Progressive Preschool Awards finalists named

Number of licensed campaigns listed among the final six for Marketing Award.

The finalists have been confirmed for The Marketing Award at this year’s Progressive Preschool Awards – with a number of licensed campaigns being shortlisted.

This year’s ceremony takes place on Thursday, November 9 at The Dorchester Hotel and is once again set to be a must-attend.

The hotly contested Marketing Award saw a raft of high profile entries, with the judging panel – led by Richard Pink, md of Pink Key Consulting – choosing six finalists. These are:

  • The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure at Chessington World of Adventures Resort – Magic Light Pictures
  • Teletubbies 20th anniversary – DHX Brands
  • The Big Breastfeeding Café – Medela
  • Twirlywoos and RSPB Wildlife Watch Campaign – DHX Brands
  • Bath, Book, Bed Campaign – eOne
  • In the Night Garden and RHS anniversary collaboration – DHX Brands

A number of licensed properties and licensees are also featured in the Product finalist shortlist.

Aykroyds and TDP Licensing (In the Night Garden pyjamas range), Blues/Brecrest (Peppa Pig Baby Range for Tesco), Paul Dennicci (Peter Rabbit Range for Tu) and Magic Light Pictures (The Gruffalo collection for Sainsbury’s) are all listed in the Best Preschool Apparel or Accessories Range.

Spin Master’s PAW Patrol range will go up against Rainbow Design’s The World of Eric Carle Craft Range and HTI’s JCB pop-up workbench in the Best Preschool Toy Range; while Rainbow Designs has also been shortlisted in the Best Preschool Gift Range for its My First Thomas & Friends Range. Enesco (GOSH Peter Rabbit range) and Signature Gifts (Peter Rabbit Little Guides Range) are also featured in this category.

The Retail categories are also set to be hotly contested. Among the awards is the Best Preschool Retail Initiative which include Barnardo’s partnership with Teletubbies and Hamleys Christmas Toy Parade among the shortlist.
