Sanrio teams with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home

Special style guide created for Pompompurin and Chococat for new partnership.

Sanrio has secured a new partnership with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.

The initiative looks at a special Battersea take on two of Sanrio’s characters – Pompompurin the dog and Chococat the cat.

A special style guide has been co-created to inspire licensors to turn the characters into products, with royalties being split equally between BDCH and Sanrio.

Lisa Woodward, deputy director of trading at BDCH, said: “We’re thrilled to have Sanrio on board as a commercial partner.

“Sanrio is a global brand with an exceptional licensing presence and we are excited to see how this collaboration comes to fruition, while supporting our dogs and cats in need.”

Hannah Rowlands, marketing executive at Sanrio, added: “What better animal charity for our cute characters to pair up with? We are so excited to see this special art pack come to life on product and raise vital funds for vulnerable dogs and cats.”
