The Point.1888 and Moonbug Entertainment have secured six additional licensees for Blippi. The new partners include Scholastic (master publisher), Poetic Brands (kids’ daywear), Misirli (socks), TDP Textiles and Aykroyds & Sons (pyjamas and swimwear), RMS International (puzzles) and Zak (lunch boxes). These join existing partners Jazwares, Creative Kids, Texco, Round Room and DJ Murphy.

Hasbro has shared details of its tenth anniversary celebrations for Peppa Pig in the US including a year-long pipeline of new content, a new toy line and a full roster of marketing activations, brand collaborations and promotions. The celebrations kick off on March 1 with ‘Best of’ episodes of Peppa Pig airing on Nickelodeon. Meanwhile, new product launches will include a collaboration with Reebok on five footwear skus for toddlers and preschoolers, while Hunter will debut a new collection in the autumn. Four new publishing titles inspired by the US special episodes will also be released in the summer. Book title formats will include pop-up, sticker and story books featuring iconic American locations. Other activity will include the release of  frozen yogurt flavour, tea times with fans and expanded charity initiatives including National Jump in Muddy Puddles Day on April 1, Peppa Pig Birthday Parties and Playdates with The Little Gym and a year-long campaign with The Muddy Puddles Project.

This month will see two legendary VW classics make their debut as Playmobil models. The original Camper Bus and the popular VW Beetle will arrive from January 15.

Hachette Children’s Group has teamed up with the Department for Education’s approved reading practice app – Fonetti – to offer a selection of Enid Blyton stories on its library. This marks the first time that Enid Blyton has been part of a digital literacy platform.

Esports club, Team Heretics has appointed Caravanserai Partners to strategically expand its licensing programme across key territories. Team Heretics – which was founded in 2016 – is the most followed Spanish speaking esports team in the world, with a reach of more than 85m users among all the social media platforms.
