Peppa Pig teams with JB Gill to mark National Children’s Gardening Week

Initiative is supporting Save the Children and takes place from 29 May to 6 June.

For the first time, National Children’s Gardening Week is teaming up with Peppa Pig, Regatta Great Outdoors and Save the Children to inspire children and families to get outside and have fun this summer.

Taking place from 29 May to 6 June, National Children’s Gardening Week is aiming to promote the health, wellbeing and educational benefits of gardening.

This year, Peppa Pig and her friends will also be sharing their top tips for having fun in the great outdoors, while raising money for Save the Children at the same time.

Sponsored by Regatta, a new Peppa Pig-themed activity pack has been created, which is filled with fun and creative ways for children to explore the world around them and discover the magic of gardening.

The campaign is fronted by keen gardener, regular Countryfile and Springwatch contributor and children’s television presenter JB Gill. Together with his family, the JLS singer is encouraging everyone to get down to their local garden centre to collect their Peppa Pig activity booklet, help raise vital funds and start having fun with nature.

“We love farming and gardening, so we can’t wait to get outside with Peppa to have some muddy fun,” JB commented. “Playing outside and discovering wildlife is so important in helping children develop and grow. I am also really proud that this campaign is supporting Save the Children because all children around the world should have the chance to be healthy and happy, no matter where they’re from.”

The limited edition activity packs will be available to collect from garden centres nationwide during National Children’s Gardening Week, with a suggested donation of £1 going to Save the Children.

Also, to coincide with National Children’s Gardening Week, Regatta and Peppa Pig have teamed up to unveil a kid approved collection of fun, bright and weather-proof pieces for spring/summer 2021.

To encourage a new generation of explorers, the Regatta range features prints showing Peppa and her favourite character friends loving the great outdoors – including George and Dinosaur. Designed with muddy puddles and garden play in mind, each piece is made to brighten even the dullest of rainy days.  The new collection will be available in Regatta stores throughout the UK and online.
