Dutch streetwear brand, Kaomoji collaborates with Hello Kitty

Kaomoji – the Dutch streetwear brand which is inspired by Japanese pop culture – has unveiled a new collaboration with Sanrio with an exclusive Hello Kitty and Friends merchandise collection for European fans.

Characters including Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, My Melody, Kuromi and Pompompurin have been given a special manga rebrand, combining the classic Sanrio cuteness with the unisex designs of Kaomoji.

Inspired by Japanese manga, the characters have been given kawaii eyes and various halftone accents. Each have their own special design, while there is also a Hello Kitty and Friends design including all of the characters.

Kaomoji was founded in 2015, becoming one of the biggest anime streetwear fashion brands in Europe. Besides its own original designs, it has also enjoyed multiple collaborations with the likes of Hatsune Miku, Kizuna Ai and Doki Doki Literatire Club among others.
