Peppa Pig ready to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

Hasbro and Peppa Pig will be joining in with the festivities to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee this weekend.

A number of new products will mark the occasion, while there will also be several Peppa Pig-focused marketing activities taking place.

Product wise, Hasbro has launched a new Peppa Pig Jubilee-themed clothing range with Tesco. This will also have incremental out of aisle space using free standing display units.

There is also new publishing titles from Penguin, features in the Peppa Pig magazine and GB-themed plush from Ty.

Beyond products, there will be a tie-up with Hamleys on an exclusive influencer Peppa Pig-themed tea party, featuring a visit from Peppa herself, as well as Gifted Afternoon Tea Boxes from B Bakery, plus Peppa cookie giveaways throughout the day.

To promote the activities, Hasbro is working with Hamleys to post across social media and B Bakery to create a special reel which will include a competition to win tickets for the afternoon tea bus experience in London.

In addition, Hasbro is also collaborating with Argos Online for a two-week digital Peppa Pig takeover and promotion around selected products over half-term and the Jubilee celebrations. From 25 May to 8 June, up to 25% off will be offered on selected Peppa Pig toys and baby and toddler items. Argos will also be promoting the event on its socials.

Talking about why it was so important for Peppa Pig to help mark the Jubilee, Marianne James, vp EMEA & Asia licensing consumer products at Hasbro, told LicensingSource.net: “The beloved British series for kids is centered around Peppa Pig and her family and friends; she has visited Buckingham Palace in the show and even jumped in muddy puddles with the Queen. She is very excited to take part in the Jubilee celebrations.

“With Peppa Pig’s 20th anniversary coming in 2024, we will continue to celebrate the brand in all sorts of major moments and formats in Peppa’s homeland.”
