Retail Monster continues to build Karma’s World brand in the UK

Retail Monster is continuing to expand the UK licensing programme for animated series Karma’s World.

Created by Karma’s World Entertainment and 9 Story Media Group, Karma’s World premiered globally on Netflix in October 2021.

New partners in the UK include KIDdesigns (consumer electronics), Poetic Brands (apparel, outerwear and swim), Cooneen by Design (nightwear and underwear), Roy Lowe & Sons (hosiery) and Egmont (magazines, colouring and activity books).

The UK licensees join a growing roster for Karma’s World which includes Mattel as global toy partner, Scholastic for global publishing and Universal Music Group for global music.

Also on board in the US are Isaac Morris, Hybrid Apparel, Franco Manufacturing and Crayola among others.

“We are so excited to be partnering with 9 Story and Karma’s World Entertainment on this property,” commented Gemma Witts, md of Retail Monster. “Karma’s World is so fresh and relevant to kids today, and we have had an overwhelmingly positive response from retailers and licensees.

“We cannot wait to bring great products and retail activations to life that reflect the incredible DNA and integrity of this special property. It is an absolute privilege for us to be working on Karma’s World.”

Kristin Lecour, co-vp of consumer products at 9 Story Brands, added: “We are thrilled to be partnering with so many best in class licensees in the UK. The response to the series from audiences around the world has been incredibly moving and it will be exciting to see Karma’s World jump from the screen to shelf later this year.”

Other activity in the UK for the brand – which is based on a concept from Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges with every episode being infused with hip-hop music, streetwear fashion and original choreography – included a partnership with Cocoa Girl magazine as a sponsor of its Cocoa Kids Fest event in Dulwich, London last autumn.
