Aardman welcomes royalty to BAFTA

Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry join in Shaun the Sheep-themed craft workshops.

The world premiere of Aardman’s Shaun the Sheep: The Farmer’s Llamas took place at BAFTA on Monday (October 26), with members of the royal family getting involved with a number of activities during the event.

The special event (originally reported by The Source here) was co-hosted by BAFTA and Aardman for the young beneficiaries of the charities supported by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry – the Charities Forum.

As well as watching the 30-minute special – which is due to air on BBC One this Christmas – the royals also participated in a Shaun the Sheep-themed model making workshop and craft activities with the children.

TV presenter Ben Shires was master of ceremonies for the event, which also included an Aardman Animate-it Live show, which displayed the principles of its animation technique to the audience.
