British & Irish Lions licensing ready to roar

Velocity Brand Management readying the market for a raft of product ahead of this summer’s tour.

Velocity Brand Management (VBM) is readying the market for this summer’s British & Irish Lions tour of New Zealand with a raft of new licensed products.

The diverse range covers apparel, headwear and accessories through to memorabilia and equipment.

Master licensor, Sportfolio, is for the first time, creating a range of second tier apparel for Lions fans across the world.

For the first time, the apparel ranges will be sold during the tour at supermarkets, with the aim of reaching out to fans that may not have ever had the chance to own Lions merchandise.

Other key licensees include Game on Glove – developed in Canada in conjunction with the NHL, it has now been transferred to rugby with the first Game on Scrum glove developed with the Lions.

In addition, Trofe is producing pins and key rings, Programme Master has committed to the pre-tour magazine, while Antics will manufacture soft toys.
