LEGO Batman crash lands at London’s Southbank

Special LEGO batarang at Observation Point is highlighting the launch of the new film.

If you’re passing Observation Point on London’s Southbank today, keep your eyes peeled for a giant LEGO Batman batarang, which has ‘crash landed’ at the site to promote the new movie.

The batarang has been made from 35,000 LEGO bricks and took 225 man hours to build.

The stunt has been created by Premier PR and Warner Bros. to mark the release of The LEGO Batman Movie this weekend.

The installation of broken ground, burning rubble and lighting effects is only in place for two days. It was created by professional LEGO builder Duncan Titmarsh and his team at Bright Bricks.

It isn’t the first film to use such experiential activity to gain consumer awareness – last July saw a Ghostbusters installation take over London’s Waterloo station to promote the launch of the new movie.
