Clintons underlines licensing commitment

Importance highlighted by Beauty and the Beast promo taking over 400 windows.

Clintons has underlined its commitment to the licensing sector – with the retailer’s vp of marketing Tim Fairs telling The Source that brands play a key part in its offering.

“Clintons remains committed to the licensed sector,” said Tim. “It all comes back to Clintons offering a wide range of products and designs, of which licensed brands are a key part.

“Licences are key as they are instantly recognisable, adding value for customers.”

The high street retailer is currently running a special in-store promotion around Beauty and the Beast for consumers to win a trip to Disneyland Paris.

On top of this, it has also worked with Turnowsky, with the company’s designs used on the cover of a new chocolate range – CoCoa Paradise – displayed at till points in-store.

Clintons is enjoying success with a number of Beauty and the Beast greeting cards and exclusive gifts featuring the brand, including the likes of travel mugs, photo frames, tealight candle holders, compact mirrors, keyrings, make-up bags, pencil cases, tote bags and drinks bottles.

It also has special Beauty and the Beast Tsum Tsums – with characters including the Beast, Belle, Chip, Gaston and Lumiere.

The competition and product range is being heavily promoted online and in-store – indeed, it has been included in the windows of 400 stores.

The prize package includes a two night, three day holiday to Disneyland Paris for one winner and up to three guests.

It includes return transport to Disneyland Paris, travelling on Eurostar or via Charles de Gaulle airport, two nights at a Disney Hotel, three day Park Hopper tickets for Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park, meal vouchers and access to a private viewing area for select Disneyland Paris shows.

Consumers simply need to purchase any Beauty and the Beast card or gift in any Clintons store for the chance to win. Closing date is June 4, 2017.
