Golden Bear renews Something Special master toy

“We are delighted to extend our commitment to Something Special” says Barry Hughes.

BBC Worldwide has renewed its deal for Something Special with master toy partner Golden Bear.

The renewal covers the UK and Ireland and further extends the long-standing relationship between the two companies.

“We are delighted to extend our commitment to Something Special,” commented Golden Bear’s commercial director, Barry Hughes. “We share the BBC’s passion about the programme and the entertainment, learning and inclusiveness it delivers to pre-schoolers and kids of all ages and abilities.

“The show consistently reaches more children than any other programme in the UK and the toy range has become an evergreen within preschool licences. We are looking forward to bringing many more Mr Tumble toys to the market in the forthcoming years.”

Julie Kekwick, senior licensing manager at BBC Worldwide, added: “We are delighted to be building on our long-standing relationship with Golden Bear.

“One of our flagship properties, Something Special continues to entertain and excite audiences on a daily basis. Golden Bear continue to deliver newness and innovation into the range, creating products that delight little ones and perform at retail.”

Golden Bear recently refreshed and re-designed the Something Special offering under the new banner of Mr Tumble Something Special.

Latest additions to the toy collection feature many of the key learning elements brought to life from the CBeebies show, with Sing Along with Mr Tumble and Large Talking Mr Tumble set to join the Mr Tumble Fun Sounds Musical Car and Mr Tumble with Fun Tumble Tapp for autumn/winter, featuring at BLE in October.

Other Mr Tumble Something Special product lines by Golden Bear include Mr Tumble Something Special include Pick ‘n’ Match Pairs Game, Mr Tumble’s Textured Spotty Bag and Mr Tumble’s Skittles Set.

In addition to Golden Bear’s offering, there are new books from Egmont, lunch and dinnerware from Zak, Aykroyd and TDP for nightwear, underwear and swimwear, daywear with K3Y, pasta shapes from Princess Foods, and bedding and towels from Dreamtex.
