May The Thoughts on Mental Health Awareness Week

Charlotte Reed’s original book to feature in Evening Standard focus piece.

The founder of the May The Thoughts Be With You brand – Charlotte Reed – is backing Mental Health Awareness Week as she continues to share her own experiences as a way to help others.

The brand – which won BLE’s License This competition in 2016 and is now represented by Larkshead Media for licensing – was borne out of Charlotte’s own experience of mental ill health.

She works all year round to help raise awareness on mental health issues and help reduce the stigma associated with them.

Charlotte’s regular column in The Evening Standard will be running every day for Mental Health Awareness Week – which is May 14-20.

In addition, her original book will be included in a piece the newspaper is running on the best books around mental health.

Charlotte told The Source: “Mental Health Awareness Week is a great way to raise awareness on mental health issues and help reduce the stigma associated with them.

“The more we talk about things like this the better!  I’m keen to spread the word as much as possible which is why I give talks all year round on my own experience of mental ill health.

“Sharing recovery stories such as mine also gives other sufferers hope that they too can recover.”

Clare Piggott from Larkshead Media added: “It’s encouraging to see how many people in the public eye are admitting their own struggles with mental ill health.

“Initiatives such as Heads Together have significantly helped reduce stigma and paved the way for conversations to take place on the subject.”
