Tatty Devine debuts first ceramic collection

Quirky brand teams with Great Pottery Throwdown judge, Keith Brymer Jones.

The Tatty Devine brand has teamed up with a judge from BBC2’s The Great Pottery Throwdown for the launch of its first ceramics collection.

The quirky brand has launched its first range of vases and mugs in collaboration with expert ceramicist, Keith Brymer Jones – who is also head of design at MAKE International.

Tatty Devine’s signature Dental Bling and Gin Bottle pieces have been molded into eye-catching vases, while the Banana, Lobster and La Luna Moon motifs adorn mugs, which have been inspired by the classic British teacup shape to resemble the heritage of both brands.

The deal was secured by Glue Creative Thinking.

“When Glue introduced us to Keith we were immediately drawn to his lovely energy and the fact he had such great understanding of our aesthetic,” said Rosie Wolfenden, co-founder and md of Tatty Devine. “We took time to develop the shape and concept as we both wanted to make something very special that wasn’t like any other mug or vase.”

Keith added: “I was thrilled when Glue approached me to collaborate with Tatty Devine for their first ceramic collection; our similar aesthetics, design ethics and heritage helped mold the perfect partnership.

“Being inspired by their vibrant, standout and stylish brand was a joy to work with designing the collection and the passion is prevalent in the design.”

Carla Bowden, founder and director of Glue Creative Thinking – which is building the Tatty Devine licensed portfolio – concluded: “We only work on collaborations that make sense, and this ones barely needs an explanation.”
