Crimestoppers enters the licensing arena

Looking to team with companies to support its aim of reducing crime in homes and communities.

JELC is looking to build a licensing programme around Crimestoppers, the UK charity which gives people the chance to speak up and stop crime 100% anonymously.

The charity is looking to enhance its product partnerships and move from simple product support into a fully fledged licensing programme, using the full Crimestoppers branding with its logo and colours.

This is the first time the charity has engaged in such an initiative. It now plans to develop licensing partnerships with carefully selected suppliers of quality home security products and solutions that can support Crimestoppers’ aim of reducing crime in homes and communities.

86% of people in the UK have heard about the charity, with over 450,000 people contacting it in 2017/18. 20,000 reported crimes had positive outcomes, with 3,500 people arrested and charged.

“This is the first time Crimestoppers has launched a full brand licensing programme and we’re excited to be taking this to market,” explained Jane Evans, md of JELC. “It will be a real win/win for everyone involved. The licensee will gain the benefit of using a brand that consumers trust while knowing they are helping a valuable cause.

“Crimestoppers will gain as the programme helps spread the Crimestoppers message and raise vital funds for the valuable work it does. Consumers will gain as they will have access to a range of quality home security products to enhance their peace of mind, backed by a major name in crime prevention.”
