The licensing programme for IFLScience is beginning to take shape in the UK, with Licensing Link Europe securing Half Moon Bay in the publishing and gifting category. The company will launch a series of four mini book and giftsets – they will predominantly be for the UK gifting market, but will also have international distribution rights.

ITV Studios Global Entertainment has appointed Hengxin Shambala Kids Cultural Industry Development as master toy partner in China for the new Thunderbirds Are Go toy line, with Bandai as UK distributor. The new toy line – which was fanfared at the UK Toy Fair this week – includes collectables, action figures and vehicles which encourage imaginative rescue role-play and interaction between the characters and their craft.

Mondo TV has revealed the successful retail launch of a line of Robot Trains personal care items is to be followed by a second agreement, this time for live action property, Heidi Bienvenida. Both deals are with Admiranda and include shampoo and shower gel, bath and shower gel and a giftset.

Punchbowl – the company behind the technology platform for online invitations and digital greeting cards – has secured a number of new licences with brands including Disney, eOne, Mattel and Moose Toys. The company has also unveiled the 2019 ‘Characters Kids Love’ collection which features more than 510 characters across 600 branded designs.

Merchantwise’s May Gibbs has once again partnered with lifestyle brand Kip&Co for a new collection of bedding, adult, children’s and baby apparel. The range celebrates the best of May Gibbs’ Australian flora, fauna and magical creatures.

DHX Media has appointed Lara Ilie as vp of rights strategy and Rachel Taylor as commercial director of WildBrain.
