The Entertainer is The Light Fund Row headline sponsor

Leading toy retailer lends support to London to Paris challenge in aid of industry charity.

Toy retailer The Entertainer has come on board as the headline sponsor for The Light Fund London to Paris Row.

The package means the retailer will have its logo on the start/finish line, on a flag attached to the gig, on blankets which the crew will use to cover themselves when cold and on the finisher’s certificates to name a few.

“I’m delighted to see The Entertainer come on board as the headline sponsor for the London 2 Paris Row,” Rob Corney, group md of Bulldog Licensing and the organiser of the challenge, told Source. “They have always been great supporters of both the licensing industry and charitable causes and their generosity is something we can celebrate both as a crew and as a professional community.”

Rebecca Naish, head of marketing and licensing at The Entertainer, added: “We are delighted to be able to show our support for The Light Fund and all the good work they do by sponsoring the London to Paris Row.

“It’s an amazing event and will be a fantastic achievement by all those involved. The Entertainer believes strongly in supporting charitable events and encourages generosity.

“We hope other companies from across the industry also dig deep to support this amazing effort.”

The sponsor roster for The Light Fund London to Paris Row also includes Brand Licensing Europe, H&A, Character World, Dreamtex, Zag Toys, Jazwares, Flair, Banter, Posh Paws/Whitehouse Leisure, Poetic Brands, Rovio, Bravado and Smiffys.

The London to Paris Light Fund Row is scheduled to leave Tower Bridge on April 27 and aims to arrive in Paris on May 4. The crew will row two hours on, two hours off throughout. A range of sponsorship packages are available for companies to support the event and a brochure is available by emailing robc@bulldog-licensing.com.
