Now Pirata & Capitano sails onto CCTV

Millimages preschool series will make its China debut on August 13.

Millimages’ preschool show Pirata & Capitano is to make its debut in China later this summer.

The series – which is co-produced by national public broadcasters France Télévisions and Italy’s Rai – will premiere on CCTV on August 13.

The news follows Pirata & Capitano’s debut in the US on Discovery Family Channel in June, as well as some solid support from other broadcasters including France 5, Tiji (France), Rai Yoyo (Italy), SVT (Sweden), YLE (Finland), RUV (Iceland), CJ Tooniverse (South Korea), TV3 (Spain), Gloob (Brazil), Bein (Middle East), Canal+ (Poland), Gulli (Russia), D-Smart (Turkey), MTVA (Hungary), ETV (Estonia), ERT (Greece), LTV (Latvia) and Balapan (Kazakhstan).

Pirata & Capitano is also the number two most watched programme on Channel 5’s Milkshake, according to a recent study conducted by Mediametrie/Eurodata TV Worldwide.

Licensing Link Europe is handling the licensing programme for Pirata & Capitano in the UK.
