Shaun the Sheep: Adventures from Mossy Bottom will debut in UK on March 17.
Aardman has confirmed that Shaun and his flock will return for a new series.
Shaun the Sheep: Adventures from Mossy Bottom – the sixth series starring Shaun – will launch on Netflix in the UK, US, Canada and Pan-Latin America on March 17, as well as Spain, Turkey, Poland, Israel and UAE on March 16.
It will also launch on select international broadcasters in Germany, Japan, Southeast Asia & Taiwan, Italy, Sweden, Finland, France, Norway, Netherlands, Portugal, Czech Republic, Canada and Catalonia.
Adventures from Mossy Bottom will introduce four new characters – hyperactive squirrel, Stash; ‘no nonsense’ Rita who delivers the parcels; and a new rival Farmer Ben and his Afghan hound, Lexi.
It will also include content that supports a more sustainable future, with Mossy Bottom Farm now featuring solar panels, wind turbines and electric vehicles.
“Adventures from Mossy Bottom aims to bridge the gap between the simple storytelling of the earlier series and this larger scale filmic stuff… with these new episodes you’re almost getting 20 mini movies,” said series director, Tom Parkinson. “Add to this a number of new characters and I think we have given the show a fresh new feel.”
