Dreamtex’s National Geographic recycled bedding scores accolade

Licensee’s collection picks up Gold accolade in the Bizziebaby product awards.

Dreamtex has been awarded Gold in the Bizziebaby product awards for its National Geographic Ocean Life recycled duvet set, as well as being commended for its commitment to creating environmentally friendly bedding and educating children about recycling.

The parenting review website said that its product testers could not fault the National Geographic bedding, congratulating Dreamtex on achieving its 2020 Gold Award after each family gave top scores when considering factors such as design, comfort, quality and value for money.

With each National Geographic duvet containing up to 12 recycled bottles with the use of unique, ethical material Repreve, parents were impressed by the softness of the fabric, the ease of washing, the recycled packaging and the important educational message behind the sea creatures design.

One parent commented how the ocean facts on the reversible duvet set had triggered conversations about recycling and protecting the environment with her child, while another loved the fact it was made from recycled bottles.

“We are delighted to receive such positive consumer feedback from Bizziebaby’s testers and to hear how our Ocean Life bedding design is inspiring young children to think about how we can all do more to save our oceans,” said Anthony Duckworth, md of Dreamtex. “Our partnership with Repreve and National Geographic has been so well supported by our retail customers, and to now see how enthusiastically families are reacting to our ethical approach and to be winning awards, it really does make all the hard work worthwhile.”

The Dreamtex range is also a finalist in the B&LLAs 2020 Best Brand Licensed Home Décor Range – with the winners being revealed in November – as well as a nominee in the 2020 Licensing International Excellence Award for Best Licensed Home Décor Product.

The licensee is also a supporting partner for November’s inaugural Sustainability in Licensing Conference.
