Rachel Wyatt takes flight with new consultancy

Former Kinnerton executive has set up Amazilia-London; Kokomo Studios confirmed as first client.

Rachel Wyatt has opened the doors of her licensing consultancy – Amazilia-London.

Rachel – who spent 20 years at confectionery specialist Kinnerton, most recently as licensing director – is offering companies a number of services including helping them determine if a licensing strategy is effective for their business, outlining a clear strategy, creating a customised brand licensing programme and working with new and current partners to broker the right deals and manage them every step of the way.

Speaking about the story behind Amazilia-London, Rachel commented: “When I launched Amazilia-London, I wanted to ensure that the business identity was interesting, meaningful and said something about me. Amazilia is a species of hummingbird. I have long been fascinated by their beauty and amazed by their abilities which appear to be beyond their tiny frame – they really do punch above their weight.

“The hummingbird symbolizes joy, playfulness and adaptability and, in some cultures, they are seen as bringers of love, joy and good luck – a beautiful basis for a new business taking flight.”

Rachel continued: “These birds adapt to their environment, show precision and agility in flight and have great listening skills. These amazing skills, behaviours and traits are the inspiration behind the brand, but more importantly, are the spirit and motivation for Amazilia-London.”

Health and beauty licensee, Kokomo Studio has been confirmed as being on board with Amazilia, securing a consultancy agreement for Rachel to provide the business with licensing services. She will aim to offer support with licensing strategy, negotiations and day to day relationship management.

“Rachel has a wealth of experience and expertise that will enrich our business and help us to expand further,” commented Helen and Gary Little, owners of Kokomo Studio. “We greatly look forward to this exciting opportunity.”

Rachel added: “I am very excited to partner with such an innovative, well respected and future thinking company. With my commercially creative mind, tenacity, drive and positivity we are going to make a winning team.”
