SILC 2020: “I can’t wait to see what we will have achieved by this time next year”

Successful conference to return in 2021 as Helena Mansell-Stopher says she’s looking forward to seeing the collaborations and conversations which come about thanks to SILC.

The inaugural Sustainability in Licensing Conference wrapped yesterday (November 25) after two days featuring 20 presentations and a raft of information delivered to 500 delegates.

The second day of the virtual event concluded with a panel session featuring M&S’ Jessica Palalagi, George @ Asda’s Jade Snart and The Marketing Store’s Ben Poate, who had all given individual presentations during the day.

Other speakers on day two included Paul De’Ath, course leader of product design at Central Saint Martins, University of The Arts London, Katy Newnham, founder of Wastebusters and Richard Lim, ceo of Retail Economics.

Delegates will be able to access the content on-demand via the SILC platform until 12pm on Friday December 4.

Helena Mansell-Stopher, conference director and founder of Products of Change, said that it had been “amazing” to watch the chat feed during SILC, with delegates interacting and answering questions.

“I’m looking forward to seeing what further conversations and collaborations will come about as a result of this inaugural SILC,” she commented.

Helena also confirmed that SILC will return to The British Library in July 2021, with more information to come in the following weeks.

“But in the meantime, a huge thank you from me and the rest of the team here in the background making this event happen, to our speakers that brought the conference to live and to you, for being an amazing community of wonderful people, you have realised my dream in driving sustainable change across our industry and I cannot thank you enough for that,” Helena concluded.
