BHS.com to take final orders on June 27

Online fashion retailer closing its doors just two years after its relaunch.

BHS.com is to close its doors later this month – less than two years after the brand and worldwide IP was acquired by Al Mana.

The Qatari-based group made the acquisition in 2016, launching the website in September of that year.

It initially focused on homewares before adding fashion to its line-up.

In December 2016 it trialled a children’s character offer featuring brands such as PAW Patrol, Minions, Spider-Man, Thomas & Friends, Frozen, Disney Princess, Sofia, My Little Pony, Minnie Mouse, Hello Kitty, Peppa Pig and Alice in Wonderland.

According to Retail Sector, Al Mana has said it will now be focusing on a more store-based business.

A spokesman for BHS.com said: “The 18 members of our BHS.com team, along with all suppliers, will be treated fairly and equitably as the website is closed down. We’d like to thank our team, suppliers and our customers for all their support over the past 20 months.”
