MCM London Comic Con success for Adventure Time

Tie up with Forbidden Planet sees booth swamped by eager fans.

Cartoon Network exhibited at the MCM London Comic Con for the first time last weekend, teaming up with retailer Forbidden Planet for a special limited edition medal giveaway.

Cartoon Network was keen to engage with its Adventure Time fans so came up with the concept of a quest.

Participants were given a scroll which contained tasks, questions and challenges – some of which required a stamp once they were completed and others being questions or anagrams.

Once the quests were complete, the Quiz Lord checked the answers and if all were correct gave them a limited edition medal.

Some 200 of these coveted medals were given away per day and Cartoon Network says it was swamped with questers.

In addition, there was a ‘green screen’ element to the stand where Adventure Time fans could come and have their photo taken with their favourite character.

There was also a tie up with Dr Marten, which was offering 20% off the popular Adventure Time branded boots.

“It was amazing and fantastical,” Graham Saltmarsh, licensing director at Cartoon Network told The Source.
