Disney adds Beauty and the Beast mobile content

Apps including Emoji Blitz and Crossy Road to be given themed updates ahead of film release.

Disney has refreshed a number of its popular apps with themed Beauty and the Beast content ahead of the live action movie release.

From March 16, Beauty and the Beast figurines and the world inspired by the film will be added to Disney Crossy Road.

On top of this, from March 17-24, the popular Disney Emoji Blitz app will add a number of Beauty and the Beast Item Cards. These will feature Belle’s Cottage, The Beast’s Magic Mirror and Belle’s Fountain among others.

Beauty and the Beast emojis inspired by the animated classic – including Lumiere, Cogsworth and Mrs Potts – will also be added.

Meanwhile, a new Beauty and the Beast Disney Jigsaw pack will launch on March 17, while a standalone mobile game is in development and expected to launch this summer.

Themed updates have also been made to Disney Story Central and Color by Disney in the US.

In addition, a Disney Stickers: Beauty and the Beast pack is available on the App Store for iMessage. It features a new art style and phrases available to send across the platform.
