New poll puts Cinderella as favourite fairy tale

Classic tale comes out on top over Goldilocks and The Three Bears and Snow White.

Cinderella has been voted as the UK’s favourite fairy tale, according to a new poll.

The survey – carried out by Direct Blinds as part of a campaign to help parents encourage their children to have a good night sleep – canvassed 2,000 parents for their opinions.

Cinderella was the most popular choice, with 26%, followed by Goldilocks and The Three Bears and Snow White.

Other popular choices included Beauty and the Beast, Alice in Wonderland, The Three Billy Goats Gruff, The Wizard of Oz and Puss in Boots, according to The Bookseller.
