Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Charity teams with Homepride Flour for fundraising initiative.
Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Charity has joined forces with a host of celebrities and Homepride Flour for this year’s BIG Bake sale.
The event – taking place between December 7 and 13 – is aiming to raise funds to improve the lives of sick children in hospitals and hospices across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
TV presenter Kate Garraway, baking queen Fiona Cairns and The Great British Bake Off contestant, Iain Watters are all ambassadors and are urging the public to ‘raise some dough’ and get behind the initiative.
Each has contributed recipes in support of the campaign – including a classic Victoria Sponge, sausage rolls, mince pies, sticky toffee cupcakes and Wensleydale Soda Bread.
Meanwhile, nearly two million limited edition Homepride Flour packs featuring Wallace and Gromit and details of the event will be on shelf in major supermarkets nationwide.
Kate Garraway (pictured with Wallace and Gromit) commented: “The Wallace and Gromit Children’s Charity does a fantastic job, raising funds to improve the lives of sick children in hospitals and hospices throughout the UK.
“I am delighted to be joining Wallace and Gromit’s BIG Bake; holding your own fundraising BIG Bake cake sale is a great way to show your support for these children and their families.”
