Ladybird unveils ‘books for grown ups’

New collection aims to help us ‘cope with the pressures of grown up life’.

Ladybird has unveiled a new series of humorous books, designed to help grown ups with the world about them.

The eight books in the series – being pitched as perfect for stocking fillers this Christmas – feature original Ladybird artwork alongside funny new text.

They are written by Jason Hazeley and Joel Morris, who, as well as being successful authors, have also written for a number of radio and TV comedy shows including Charlie Brooker’s Screenwipe, Miranda and The Armstrong and Miller Show, as well as the Paddington Movie.

Released on November 19 and priced at £6.99 each, the titles cover the topics of Mindfulness, Dating, The Shed, The Hipster, The Hangover, The Mid-Life Crisis, The Husband and The Wife.

They have already garnered plenty of media attention, including pieces in The Guardian and The Independent, while all eight are included in Amazon’s top pre-sale listing.
