Retail Monster to build Pat the Dog

ProSiebenSat.1 Group teams with retail specialist to boost new property.

ProSiebenSat.1 Group has teamed with retail delivery specialist Retail Monster to help build the Pat the Dog animated children’s series into an international franchise.

First step is to appoint an international master toy partner for the Superprod property – which ProSiebenSat.1 signed last month – followed by expansion into other categories.

Robert Merkel, md of ProSiebenSat.1 Licensing, commented: “In our eyes, Retail Monster is the best partner we could have found for the US and UK.

“The team’s know-how and expertise, but also in particular their experience and contacts with local retail and manufacturers, will be a key factor in our international success.”

Michael Connolly, ceo of Retail Monster, added: “We are proud to partner with one of the leading European media companies. We have already worked with some of the members of the team.

“It is a delight and an honour to be expanding the business to the North American and UK markets together with the ProSiebenSat.1 Licensing team.”
