The Light Fund quiz night raises £12k+

Amount raised in 2018 approaching all-time record of £300,000 for industry charity.

Last night’s quiz in aid of The Light Fund saw over £12,000 being raised for the industry charity – while Rainbow Productions walked away with the coveted victor’s trophy.

The event – held in the Royal Oak Suite at Arsenal’s Emirates stadium – was attended by over 250 industry execs from a variety of companies.

These included Cooneen, FOCO, Mattel, Bulldog Licensing, Asda, Wow Stuff, Danilo, eOne, Amscan, Beano Studios, Coolabi, DRi Licensing, Copyrights Group, Nickelodeon, Roy Lowe & Sons, Dreamtex, Aykroyds & Sons, Pink Key Licensing, Rockpool Licensing, Licensing Link Europe, Imagine8, Allsorts Licensing, Blues, GB eye, Powerstation Studios, Hasbro, DHX Brands, BBC Studios, TDP Textiles, Jazwares, Sanrio, Rubie’s, Topps, CPLG, Acamar, Fashion UK, Cartoon Network, NBC Universal, Rocket Licensing, ITV and The Point.1888.

The winner – with a grand total of 155 points – was the team from Rainbow Productions, called The Fast and the Furriest.

Second place went to the team from Copyrights – PaddingTeam – with 151 points, followed by The Bullchetters (Bulldog) and Acronyms R US (BBC Studios and TDP), both with 150 points.

The top ten was completed by All Sorts of Character Exchange (Allsorts, Blues, GB eye and Reemsborko) with 148 points; The Knowledge (Pink Key Licensing, Rockpool Licensing, Imagine8 and Licensing Link Europe) and Cooneenies (Cooneen), both with 147 points; 99 Problems but a Snitch Ain’t One (Danilo), Dopple Clangers (Coolabi) and ITV Not the Chasers (ITV), all on 146 points.

At the other end of the table, the team from Powerstation Studios didn’t quite live up to their name – Go Go Powerstation – finishing with 110 and becoming the new owners of the ‘Pants of Doom’.

Prize for best team name went to Roy Lowe, Dreamtex and Aykroyds for Dean Greasley is a Vegetarian, My Arse!
