V&A further strengthens licensed interiors portfolio

New lines launching from Surface View, Blinds 2Go and Samuel Lamont among others.

The V&A has unveiled a number of new and continued partnerships within the licensed interiors space.

Longstanding licensee Surface View has introduced a new collection for spring (pictured). Called Timeless Classics, the range features four designs and aims to showcase the beauty of the original artwork, preserved in the V&A’s Prints and Drawings department.

The designs are available as wallpaper, ceramic tiles, murals and roller blinds.

Meanwhile, the museum has revealed its debut collection with Blinds 2Go, the market leader in the UK for online blinds.

Inspired by the V&A’s extensive collection of wallpapers and textiles by William Morris, the range features on-trend colour palettes, while retaining the authenticity and integrity of the designer’s much-loved work. The range of blinds and curtains feature eight patterns in a variety of colours and fabrics.

Another new licensee, this time in the US, is doormat specialist Entryways. Seven doormats have been inspired by artworks from the museum with designs including Strawberry Thief and the Espalier.

Finally, following the success of the James Leman range, Samuel Lamont will be releasing a new line of kitchen textiles based on a design adapted from a collection of tiles.

The blue and white collection is inspired by the richness and diversity of European and Asian tile work traditions on display in the V&A’s Ceramics gallery. The range will feature cotton tea towels, oven gloves, aprons, gauntlets and tea cosies, and will be available in spring.
