Laura Ashley brand is back thanks to new Next launches

Ranges from licensees including Graham & Brown, Qualita, Ashley Wilde and DAR Lighting sit alongside exclusive Next collections.

British heritage brand, Laura Ashley has made its return following the launch of a number of new collections with high street retailer, Next.

The new collection features signature prints, indoor and outdoor furniture, lighting, mirrors, soft furnishings, made to measure curtains and wallpaper among other products.

The ranges are available online now and at 48 Next stores once lockdown restrictions lift, reported The Industry.Fashion.

A dedicated flagshop store in store will also open at Westfield in Shepherds Bush, London.

This marks the first step in generating a portfolio of licensees, and building strategic wholesale and retail relationships, following Laura Ashley’s acquisition in April 2020 by the investment company, Gordon Brothers.

Ranges from licensees including Graham & Brown (wallpaper and paint), Qualita (furniture), Ashley Wilde (textiles) and DAR Lighting (home lighting) line up alongside upholstery, home fragrance and floral collections exclusive to Next.

“We are delighted to see Laura Ashley back in-store where it belongs,” commented Poppy Marshall-Lawton, head of brand and partnerships at Laura Ashley. “We are confident that our new collection of signature patterns and styles, alongside the stunning new designs that draw on our archival heritage, will inspire and excite Laura Ashley fans of old and new customers, too.”

Tobias Nanda, president brands at Gordon Brothers, added: “This is an exciting step in the evolution of Laura Ashley and we look forward to continuing to grow the brand in its new form.

“The Next partnership is the perfect way to reconnect the brand with its customers and develop new opportunities that will take Laura Ashley forward into new sectors.”
