SILC to make its in-person debut at the Royal Geographical Society

With a mission to drive positive change across the licensing industry, the Sustainability in Licensing Conference is making its return for the third year running, taking up residence in the prestigious Royal Geographical Society in London on Wednesday, 22 June, 2022.

SILC22 will build on the success of its previous years by making its in-person debut to deliver a full schedule of discussions and panels tackling some of the biggest topics of conversation within the sustainability movement today.

The dual-cast event will be hosted both in-person and online via a live-stream, with ticketing options for both physical and virtual attendees.

With an aim of inspiring continued positive action across the $276bn licensing industry, the one-day conference will act to support the increased demand for knowledge, resources and best practices across retail, licensors, licensees, trade suppliers and more.

Previous years have set the bar high for informative, inspirational and engaging content. Last year’s conference saw the likes of Eden Project’s ceo David Harland and Asda’s sustainability and compliance expert, Jade Snart, as well as Tesco’s packaging manager, Paul Earnshaw, and Olympic medal winner and environment advocate, Hannah Mills OBE among the line-up.

Topics covered in next year’s in-person conference, will include:

  • How businesses are driving sustainable practices
  • How the industry can drive social change through entertainment and content
  • Technologies for a sustainable future
  • How cross section working can catalyse sustainable development
  • Retail and sustainable supply chain within the circular economy

A full conference agenda will be released in the coming weeks. Ticket prices will be £275 for a Physical Ticket and £150 for a Digital Ticket. Products of Change members will be eligible for a 20% discount.

Presented by Products of Change (the online membership platform for sustainable advancement within the industry) and Max Publishing (publishers of the Licensing Source Book, LicensingSource.net, and organisers of The Licensing Awards and the B&LLAs), SILC22 will once again be curated by Products of Change founder, Helena Mansell-Stopher and the POC team.

SILC22 will also play host to a networking evening session where the Products of Change team will announce the winners of the first ever Products of Change Awards – a special programme in development with the POC team to celebrate pioneering companies and individuals within the consumer products space and their efforts towards better industry sustainability.

“We couldn’t be more excited to finally be bringing the Sustainability in Licensing Conference to the industry in-person, and to have secured the magnificent Royal Geographical Society as our venue for the first real life event, is just the feather in the cap,” commented Helena Mansell-Stopher, founder of Products of Change and conference director for SILC.

“SILC22 will be a place for sharing ideas, insight, and innovation on how best this endlessly creative industry can continue to drive positive global action towards a more sustainable future, by implementing changes today and drive forwards a better, healthier, and more environmentally focused industry of tomorrow.”
