First pitchers confirmed for Brands & Retail UK Summer Conference

The first confirmed companies and properties for the Brands & Retail UK Summer Conference have been revealed.

After a successful event in February, Brands & Retail UK is returning to the British Library on Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 July.

Day one will focus on lifestyle, commercial, heritage, charity and sports brands, while the focus for day two will be on character and gaming brands.

Confirmed so far are: Team GB (day one and two), V&A (day one), Mattel (day two), Paramount (day one and two), Acamar Films, Kelebek Media, MGA Entertainment, Penguin Ventures and Warhammer (all day two).

There are now 12 15-minute pitching slots left for day one, and seven remaining on day two.

Those interested in booking one of the remaining slots should contact event director, Ryan Beaird on Ryan.Beaird@BrandsRetail.uk.

Licensees and retailers are also being encouraged to pre-register as capacity is limited to 200 seats on both days. The conference is free for licensees and retailers and they can have up to three members of staff attend.

“The B&RUK Winter conference that took place on 24 February at the British Library was a huge success,” commented Ryan. “With over 200 key executive representatives from brands, licensees and retailers attending, the feedback from the audience on the format and the quality of the screenings was all positive. I’m excited the summer conference is now really taking shape.

“The Winter conference sold out in weeks of being announced and I was operating a reserve list, so knew we could expand the conference into two days for the summer which must mean I’m doing something right for the industry.”

Plans are also being finalised for the closing Summer Terrace Party which will take place at the British Library from 5pm on 7 July. It will be open to licensees and retailers attending both days and the brands taking part.

Ryan added: “With capacity for 200 people on the terrace, it will be a great place to do business after watching the great screenings and presentations during the day.”
