Welbeck teams with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home

Welbeck Publishing Group has agreed a two book deal with Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.

The deal was arranged by Battersea’s licensing agency, The Point.1888.

The company has acquired the rights in the UK and Ireland to the Dog Puzzle Book and Cat Puzzle Book, with both due to be published on 13 October 2022.

Each of the books – the first puzzles books supporting the charity – contains over 100 puzzles from canine crosswords to cat quizzes.

“You only have to look in the streets around you to see the explosion in dog and cat ownership in recent years, proof if ever it were needed that we are truly a nation of besotted pet lovers,” commented Joe Cottington, associate publisher at Welbeck. “Battersea has a special place in the hearts of owners, and it’s a real joy to support the tireless charity work of the team there through these charming books.”

Warren Traeger, licensing manager at Battersea, continued: “We could not be more delighted to be working with Welbeck on these must-have brain teasers for dog and cat lovers alike.
