Primark unveils new collection celebrating 100 years of Disney

Primark has unveiled its first collection to celebrate 100 years of Disney across adult and kidswear including sweatshirts, t-shirts, nightwear and accessories.

The new 70-piece collection forms part of a year-long calendar of activity by the retailer to commemorate Disney 100 Years of Wonder, taking inspiration from the magic of the brand’s iconic characters and stories.

Primark entered the licensed space in 2011 with its first Disney range and the partnership has since gone from strength to strength across a breadth of categories from clothing and accessories to homeware, becoming the retailer’s largest licensed partner.

Last year, the retailer revealed a new immersive Disney experience in its renovated Belfast Bank Buildings store, including a Primark Café with Disney, a Disney photo moments area, plus a dedicated Disney department for adults, kids and homeware.

“We’re so proud to have collaborated with Disney for over a decade and are delighted to celebrate Disney100 with a range of collections, all inspired by the magic and wonder of this iconic brand,” commented Sarah Jackson, director of licensing at Primark. “Our first collection, Mickey Mouse Originals, features retro designs with modern bright colours, and is perfect for the whole family. We pride ourselves on our extensive licence offering and we continue to expand our ranges in store with the aim of becoming the number one destination for licensed clothing on the high street.”

The first collection in Primark stores – Mickey Mouse Originals – is inspired by the classic characters and designs from the 1920’s and 1930’s and includes clothing and nightwear across adult and kidswear.

Primark has channeled retro-inspired design details, as well as adding a ‘colour pop’ to the range.
