Teddy Mountain adds the NSPCC’s Pantosaurus to portfolio

Edutainment Licensing has secured a new partnership with ‘make a bear’ activity specialist, Teddy Mountain for Pantosaurus plush.

Teaming up with the NSPCC, Teddy Mountain will be aiming to raise awareness of the ‘Talk PANTS’ initiative.

The NSPCC’s Pantosaurus is a bright yellow friendly dinosaur known by millions that encourages parents, carers, and teachers to Talk PANTS, which is a simple conversation that helps keep children safe from sexual abuse.

The Teddy Mountain team has created one of its famous ‘Make a Bear’ versions of Pantosaurus – the popular dinosaur character that heads up the campaign.

The Teddy Mountain Make your Own Pantosaurus bear will be available for groups, schools, clubs and visitor destinations to help them raise both funds and awareness for the NSPCC.

“The work of the NSPCC has always been very close to my heart, and we had been looking at ways to collaborate with them for a number of years,” commented Teddy Mountain’s Ryan Davies. “Pantosaurus is the perfect vehicle to put our expertise and customer service to great use to help raise awareness and funds for the NSPCC. We have amazing customers who will enjoy the philanthropic nature of this partnership – it is an absolute win-win-win for all concerned especially the children.”

Denise Deane, owner of Edutainment Licensing, continued: “Partnering with Teddy Mountain brings a unique opportunity for children and parents/carers to play together and build their own amazing pant-wearing dinosaur. As well as being great fun it is also a perfect starting point to help support children to recognise what abuse is and how they can speak up.”

Tom Crompton, head of character commercialisation at the NSPCC, added: “Most children will have a cuddly toy that they adore and are rarely seen without, so it makes perfect sense to be able to give them their very own Pantosaurus plush. Our Talk PANTS rule helps children to understand that their body belongs to them and what they should do if they feel upset or worried. Hopefully, having Pantosaurus close to them will help them to know what to do if they are ever concerned about inappropriate behaviour. We can’t wait to get our paws on our very own Pantosaurus bear.”

The Pantosaurus kit is planned for launch in the UK in summer 2024.
