HEAD secures Falcon Footwear deal

Multi-year licence covers a wide range of footwear from flip flops to hiking shoes.

The HEAD Sport licensing programme is continuing to grow, with Falcon Footwear coming on board for North America.

The multi-year licence for HEAD branded footwear covers flip flops, sandals, walking and hiking shoes, lifestyle/casual shoes and halo products for men, women and children.

Product is due to hit stores from autumn 2017.

“We found in Eastman’s Falcon Footwear a great partner to launch HEAD branded footwear – over eight decades of experience and their dedicated design development and sourcing capabilities will lead us to success in the North American market,” said Giuseppe Faranna, vp division manager licensing at HEAD Sport GmbH. “We can’t wait to see the first products being developed.”

Falcon Footwear evp, Richard Olicker, added: “HEAD is an iconic outdoor brand, with particular recognition in ski equipment and tennis.

“As a leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of cold/wet weather and outdoor footwear products, we’re ideally well-positioned to develop and expand the HEAD brand into footwear categories that are our expertise. We’re excited to be working with HEAD Sport GmbH to drive the HEAD footwear business.”
