UK Paramount theme park plans revealed

If approved, park will feature rides based around the company’s films.

A new Paramount theme park – already being dubbed ‘the UK Disneyland’ – could be set to open in five years.

According to The Telegraph, the park – based in Dartford, Kent – will feature over 50 rides and attractions, plus a 2,000 seat theatre.

As well as rides based around the studio’s films, there will also be attractions from BBC Worldwide and Aardman Animations properties.

The project’s parent company is Kuwaiti European Holdings and, if approved by the government, building will start in 2019.
